Zac Efron attacked during crazy Skid Row brawl: car breaks down, 'intoxicated' actor punched in mouth during violent fight

First, Zac Efron had his broken jaw wired shut after slipping in a puddle of water back in December. Now, the handsome "Neighbors" actor violently got punched in the face during a crazy fight in downtown LA's infamous Skid Row area!

Here's the story according to TMZ. Apparently, Efron's car ran out of gas really early in the morning sometime last week. The "High School Musical" star and his bodyguard were pulled over waiting for a tow truck, when one of them threw a bottle from the car window. That allegedly pissed-off some nearby transients.

The glass smashed near a group of at least three unidentified individuals. They angrily confronted the two other men, which eventually led to a full-out brawl. Two of the attackers began harrassing Efron's bodyguard, which is when the 26-year-old Hollywood hottie stepped out of the vehicle. That's when he was hit in the mouth - hard.

Cops were patroling the Harbor Freeway when they discovered the fight and quickly broke things up. Efron told authorities, "It was the hardest I've ever been hit in my life." An alleged source insists that Efron was "obviously intoxicated." Cops are "on high alert for drug deals and gangs" around the dangerous area.

The brawl was deemed a "mutual combat," so no arrests were made. Efron and his reps have yet to comment.
