When Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) came upon a tube with a mysterious blue creature inside of it, some fans speculated that the creature was Kree, a member of an alien race present in the Marvel Universe. Now, those fans' theory has been confirmed by star Chloe Bennet.

Bennet spoke to Fanboy Comics at PaleyFest 2014 and confirmed the alien's origin:

During the actual PaleyFest Q&A session, executive producer Jeph Loeb said they specifically chose to call the next episode "End of the Beginning" and to air it right before Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens in theaters with the next episode just a few days after the movie's premiere, according to IGN. He also said, to numerous cheers, that the final seven episodes of Season 1 would air uninterrupted after he acknowledged fans' complaints about the scheduling.

Fellow executive producer Jeffrey Bell said the show has long-term plans beyond this season.

"We know where we want Season 3 to end," he said. "And we know which character will still be alive, because this is a Joss Whedon joint."

Both Ming Na Wen and Chloe Bennet said Marvel does not tell them much as far as spoilers for the show, and Bennet even said she has been calling Marvel consistently to try and find out about Skye's secrets as she reads more comics and discovers more possibilities. Ming Na Wen also joked that she wants Skye to be the love child of May and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and that she wants flashbacks to those scenes.

Loeb was coy when asked if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would introduce more characters from the Marvel Universe or if it would cross over with the upcoming Marvel Netflix series. "We'll see," he said. "I'm in favor of what makes fans happy."
