A couple of years ago when the Cleveland Cavaliers lost 26 consecutive games, some said that would never be tied nor broken, as no NBA team should lose that many games. The Philadelphia 76ers have proven otherwise, taking their talented, young team to despairs nobody predicted. They'e traded away star plays Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes and they don't look like winning any time soon. Some have gone as far as saying it cannot be coincidental that they're suffering this badly when there is an elite NBA draft class for the picking. So, could they be losing in order to ensure they get the best shot at drafting a top talent like Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins?

The 76ers knew what they had to do, they had to beat the Houston Rockets or enter the record books for a horrific reason. Sadly for their franchise they lost 120-98 in what was the latest of not just defeats, but utter annihilations. It's been nearly two months since they last tasted victory and it seems their franchise are in a mess that quite possibly draft talent cannot save.

Sixers coach Brett Brown recently admitted this would have its consequences in the offseason, and would not simply be forgotten. He also explained how it would hurt their efforts to improve. He said "No free agent is going to want to come to Philadelphia at this stage, Why would a good free agent want to come in and be a part of a rebuild?"

He may be right, meaning if they are looking to ensure they get Parker or Wiggins, the selected talent may have one huge job on his hands. Is there a talent good enough to see them turn this around?
