'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' clip shows Deathlok in battle

Tuesday's new episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., entitled "End of the Beginning," is the last one until the U.S. premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which should transform the television series. A new clip from the episode shows one of its super-powered characters in battle.

The Hero Complex section of The Los Angeles Times posted the clip, which shows Deathlok (J. August Richards) in battle with Agents John Garrett (Bill Paxton) and Antoine Triplett (B.J. Britt). Check it out here.

Garrett and Triplett return in the packed episode to help Coulson (Clark Gregg) hunt down S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mysterious enemy, the Clairvoyant. Deathlok, under the enemy's control, stands in their way.

I hear one of the returning faces is harboring a big secret and another will wind up on the wrong end of a battle with Deathlok."

In related news, the cast and crew of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. appeared at PaleyFest 2014 on Sunday and dropped some tidbits about the future of the show during a Q&A session.

Executive producer Jeph Loeb said they specifically chose to call the next episode "End of the Beginning" and to air it right before Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens in theaters with the next episode just a few days after the movie's premiere. He also said, to numerous cheers, that the final seven episodes of Season 1 would air uninterrupted after he acknowledged fans' complaints about the scheduling.
