Michael Jackson's new album 'Xscape' will air previously unreleased material

Michael Jackson is getting the Tupac treatment, with a new album of remastered and remixed unreleased tracks called Xscape.

Timbaland had hinted at the album's existence previously and appears here as a the album's lead producer. He is joined by Rodney Jerkins, Stargate,Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon and John McClain, who all tried their hand at "contemporizing" the tracks (according to Epic CEO L.A. Reid.

The deluxe edition of Xscape will feature the original studio tracks sans the added production,

Xscape will hit shelves on May 13.
