Israel's capital is Jerusalem, the religious capital of the world in a way for countless sects of different faiths. So when a sexy commercial featuring Israeli model Bar Rafaeli apparently having sex with a muppet-type character (and possibly two other versions of herself) aired this weekend, it quickly got pulled from the airwaves. Well, before 10PM that is.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

A local TV commercial for fashion brand Hoodies, which debuted Sunday in the holy land, has been limited to air only past primetime, Walla! Israel news website reported Sunday. Governmental council The Second Authority for Television and Radio reviewed the 54-second spot and concluded it has "too many sexual insinuations," banning it from airing before 10 p.m.

Check out this sexy commercial below, which features the ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio getting frisky with a puppet:

If you're wondering about the puppet character, that's just Red Orbach who "emerged locally from an all-puppet classic rock group called Red Band and his stereotypical persona is that of an aging 1960s American rocker." He's apparently a big deal in Israel so pulling the commercial completely would be out of the question, we suppose.

Clearly sex sell, so the idea behind the commercial isn't too far-fetched. Splitting Bar into three Bars, is fun too! Perhaps the puppet is a bit much, but we're not here to judge!

What do you think of this controversial commercial from Hoodies? Does it make you want to buy or at least look into the product?
