Fans of the highly popular The Walking Dead will now get a chance to play the game of their favorite TV show. Just days after the top-rated season 4 finale, the makers of The Walking Dead: The Prison -The Board Game have found major distribution.

Based on the popular TV and comic book series, the board game is based on creator Robert Kirkman's story arc where Rick Grimes and The Governor fought over the abandoned prison, which was safe haven from the zombies. In the game, players would take on their fan-favorite roles, such as Rick, Michonne, and Tyreese, while trying to keep the survivors safe and keep out the zombies. Earn leadership points as you secure each area of the prison from dangers of the human and zombie kind.

An official announcement was made on the Kickstarter page, "We have some great news: we have, just in the past day, agreed to an exclusive distribution deal with Diamond/Alliance. This is amazing news for the game, because it means we're going to be able to get the game into every specialty and hobby store in the country, along with international distribution and larger stores. The game will begin to be solicited by Diamond next week. This is, quite simply, everything we had hoped for when we began to develop the game."
