John Mayer and Katy Perry break-up UPDATE

On again, off again couple Katy Perry and John Mayer called it quits early this month after Katy found suspicious text messages on Mayer's phone. What we didn't know was the recipient of those text messages. Well it seems that John Mayer may have been cheating on Katy with 'General Hospital' star Kelly Monaco.

Mayer is no stranger to romantic drama having been linked to a string of women in the last six years including Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Aniston just to name a few. It seemed that with Katy, John was finally turning a corner in his romantic life, publicly professing his love for Katy many times throughout his tour this past year. They seemed really in love especially while promoting "Who You Love," the latest single off of Mayer's new album "Paradise Valley."

The source tells Perezhilton.com that John Mayer and Kelly Monaco "hooked up immediately. She was open to the things John's into, like sex toys, tying each other up, even threesomes. He couldn't get enough. He would text her and try and get her to meet him either at his place in L.A. or a hotel out in the valley." The source goes on to say that when Katy saw the texts from John's phone, she realize he "was a sex fiend who isn't capable of telling the truth."

Perry doesn't seem to bother by the new cheating allegation, or if she is she isn't letting on about it. She's busy at work promoting her upcoming Prismatic World Tour. She told E! that with this tour she is pushing her limits and she thinks this is the best work she has ever done when it comes to live performances. "It's going to be just as colorful and fun, as before, but its obviously not based on candy. It's grown up. It's more mature."

Who knows if the allegations will turn out to be true, but I know I'm not just speaking for myself when I say I was really routing for this couple.
