Star Wars: Episode VII will begin shooting on May 14, 2014, in the same country where Episode VII: A New Hope was shot: Morocco. This news has led to some speculation that the new storyline will return to Tatooine for J.J. Abrams' 2015 blockbuster. Tunisia is also another possible filming location.

Slashfilm reports:

The reason for the return to Morocco could be to use standing sets that were left over from previous Star Wars shoots. (As seen in the work of photographer Rä di Martino, who has taken great photos of decayed Tatooine sets.) It would indeed be pretty great if JJ Abrams uses those sets more or less as they are to show the passage of thirty years in the Star Wars timeline.

Do you think we'll be traveling back to where it all began for Episode VII? Will we venture back to Tatooine? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

May has always been a big month in regards to Star Wars. The fourth is considered Star Wars Day by many, so we could be getting some great announcements about the new J.J. Abrams movie starting on that date. Perhaps we'll finally figure out who has officially been cast and what to expect from the plot?

Once May 14 hits, we hope to get on-set updates from Abrams or the cast, but we shouldn't hold our breath. Abrams is a very secretive filmmaker so he'll most likely try to keep any information he doesn't want out in the open from leaking.
