This season of 'Real Housewives of New York' is definitely off to a dramatic start. At the forefront of all this drama are Aviva Dresher and Carole Radziwill, former friends who turned frenemies after Dresher claimed that Carole used a ghostwriter to pen her first book "The Widows Guide to Sex & Dating."

Radziwill, who before joining the 'Real Housewives' last season was a three-time Emmy award winning journalist/reporter for ABC News, finds Dresher's current ghostwriter allegations to be completely slanderous to her name and career. Carole claims that these fabricated lies could end up hurting her journalism career, which she has been building since 1986.

Radziwill took to her blog on Bravotv.com to discuss the feud between the two.

"This isn't some dumb 'reality' fight. It's not a joke, and she knows it and her publisher knows it."

When it comes to legal action, it seems that Radziwill isn't backing down. She says that, "[Aviva] casually slanders my career (how I make a living) and also that of my former editor, Bill Whitworth." She goes on to say that, "The lies [Aviva] is promoting in the press and social media, and of course her scenes on RHONY, are all legally actionable. You can call someone a lousy writer. You can say you hate their book. You can even call a person "white trash" but you can't go on television and slander a person's career. It's illegal, even on reality shows."

What does Dresher have to say in response regarding this feud that is now being referred to as #Bookgate? She states, "I officially declare this the STUPIDEST FIGHT EVER. Who cares who actually wrote the Bible? Did Homer have help on The Iliad and The Odyssey (Was there even a guy named Homer? I mean, other than Simpson)? Was Gordon Lish a co-writer of many of Raymond Carver's stories, or merely the editor?"

It seems like this battle is only heating up. Fans will have to tune into Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New York' every Tuesday at 9 pm EST to see how the drama unfolds in the reminder of this season.
