Robert Pattinson prepares for Kristen Stewart birthday reunion? 'Twilight' heartthrob 'rushes' to LA to surprise on-and-off again girlfriend?

Apparently, Robert Pattinson's back in LA - and he's finally ready to see on-and-off again girlfriend, Kristen Stewart.

The former "Twilight" sweethearts haven't hung-out in over four months. R-Patz has been busy filming the new movie "Life" up in Toronto. But K-Stew's 24th birthday falls on April 9, and Pattinson's ready for an official reunion! Whether that means romantic or not, Robsten fans will just have to wait and see.

A friend supposedly close to the British heartthrob tells HollywoodLife.com - "Rob is back in town and he's super psyched to spend some quality time with Kristen. He just arrived to film some scenes for the movie Life, which he was working on in Toronto." 

So, work and play time?

The source continues, "They haven't actually seen each other yet, but plan on reuniting in the next day or so with all of the dogs in tow. It's been like four months since they've seen each other. He wanted to make sure he was in L.A. for Kristen's birthday."

Stewart must be thrilled! Rumors suggest that the "SWATH" starlet's been fighting to win back Pattinson's heart for months. But he's still wary about officially getting back together, since it's hard to trust K-Stew since her highly-publicized infidelity with Rupert Sanders.
