Could Amy Winehouse be coming to a city near you? She would be if it were up to FilmOn CEO Alki David. What could have been a bad April Fool's joke turned out to  be anything but. Alki David planned to create a world tour based around a hologram of the late Amy Winehouse. The hologram of Winehouse would embark on a world tour and perform hits including 'Rehab, 'You Know I'm no Good,' and 'Valerie' among many more. The show would be set to the music of a live orchestra. Winehouse, who passed on July 23, 2011 from alcohol poisoning, suffered for many years of addiction to both drug and alcohol abuse.

Winehouse is no stranger to having work released postmortem. Her 2011 album, which became a number 1 record in the UK, included previously unreleased demos and recordings she made before her death, including songs 'Our Time Will Come,' 'Body and Soul,' and a duet she did with Tony Bennett.

Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father and holder of the copyrights for his daughter's songs, protested the hologram tour proposal, calling it "utter rubbish," which initially caused David to toss the idea. He told TV Mix that "Our London office was in negotiations with the managers of Amy's music and image to bring something the world craved - closeness with the beloved artist and her voice. But I have no desire to cause her family any duress, and have withdrawn all offers to the family to make this happen."

This set-back with Winehouse's hologram isn't stopping David from creating hologram tours based on other artists, both dead and alive. David has been considering launching a tour revolving around the work of Flo Rida who is still alive and well.
