The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers on Carl

The Season 4 finale of The Walking Dead ended with Rick and friends trapped a train car at the mercy of the citizens of Terminus. But Rick ended the season with a pledge that these mysterious new captors don't realize "they're screwing with the wrong people."

Most fans assume the Terminus citizens are cannibals based on the Hunters from the comics, which at this point seems like a safe bet. And while Rick is ready for battle, his son, Carl, also reached a turning point in the Season 4 finale when he had a heart-to-heart with Michonne about the beastly feelings inside of him.

The "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide explores what's next for Carl via executive producer and comic writer Robert Kirkman:

While producers won't confirm that people of Terminus even are the cannibals of the comics - but they totally are, right? - Carl's dire situation will give him the opportunity to see if he truly is the monster he fears he's becoming. 'Carl [is] in a pretty bad position locked in this train car at the mercy of other people, and that could lead to him being tested in other big ways,' executive producer Robert Kirkman says. 'There's a lot of changes left for that kid to go through.'"
