Is Harry Styles working on solo songs with One Republic's Ryan Tedder amidst One Direction break up rumors?

Despite the fact that Harry Styles and the rest of One Direction are currently rehearsing and preparing for their upcoming world stadium tough, "Where We Are," there are still rumors of Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend going solo. This new rumor states that Harry is working with One Republic's Ryan Tedder on some "new material," leading many to believe it is for a project outside of One Direction.

"Harry and Ryan have been working on new material together. They've met a number of times before with the band but have never worked together properly. There's a mutual appreciation there. If there's one person to get the best out of Harry, it's Ryan. The new relationship will come in handy if Harry does try his hand at going solo," a reported insider told The Sun.

Even if this rumor is true, we don't know if the new material is for a solo career. Tedder recently worked with Harry's bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, who are the main songwriters of the boy band. The group's last album, Midnight Memories, featured Tedder's imprint and we know that a new One Direction album is slowly coming together. Maybe Harry just wants to work on 1D songs with the 1R singer?

This of course brings up another theory: Maybe they're just bonding over the "one" they share in their band names. Think about it!

This is definitely not the first nor probably the last rumor we'll hear of Harry's solo career. It is definitely a possibility, but just like every other rumor that pops up we want to tell you that Styles is under contract with One Direction through 2016. So just wait!
