Lucy Clode - several Mstars fans probably know her as the 17-year-old teen who got "propositioned" by actor James Franco in NYC via "creepy" text messages and Instagram:

Apparently, Clode denied Franco's advances. But why did she post these "private" exchanges all over social media - was she simply searching for her 15-minutes of cyber fame?

According to celebrity relationship expert and The Today Show go-to therapist Dr. Gilda Carle, Clode was probably just looking for some attention and "bragging rights" -

"He is reaching out to her, and it's perfect," Dr. Gilda tells HollywoodLife.com. "She had an opportunity to get her name in the news, and get some notoriety, and she thinks this is gonna be the best thing ever to happen to her... Just like Monica Lewinsky kept the blue dress, it's called bragging rights. Anything that would raise the status of a teenager would work fabulously for her, [Lucy] thinks. And already, obviously, it's worked pretty well because we're all talking about it. She got her wish, she's achieved her goal, and now anything is possible. I fear, however, what is next? Teenage girls don't think about long-term effects. They don't think about consequences. That's the difference between teenagers and adults."

Do Mstars readers agree with Dr. Gilda's interpretation of Clode's somewhat flirtatious actions?

Meanwhile, Clode's grandmother is pretty ticked-off at the "Palo Alto" star.

"I think he ought to get a slap on the wrist and I know my son, Lucy's dad, wouldn't be afraid to give it to him," 84-year-old Beryl Sussex told MailOnline about Franco's attempted seduction. "It shows how little these famous actors know about normal people and how to behave. They're out of touch with reality."

As a public figure in Hollywood, Franco should take more responsibility WITHOUT taking advantage of his loving fans:

"Lucy isn't even 18. It's bad enough a man of his age is approaching her like this, never mind a movie star. I really take exception to this," Sussex explains. "I don't know this actor, at my age we don't keep up to speed, but it's quite clear his behavior is not on. Lucy has lived quite a sheltered life, she comes from a respectful family. She isn't one for the limelight at all."

Does Grandma Sussex know best?
