This past Sunday the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards premiered on CBS with hosts Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton.

The show which took place in Las Vegas took no time to settle in before dissing fellow Vegas resident Britney Spears, during Shelton and Bryan's opening monologue.

Bryan egged Shelton on by saying "everybody here tonight is ready to listen to great amazing live music." Repeating the words live and poking Blake, seeming to get him ready to make the following dig at Britney Spears expense.

"If you don't like live music, then you need to go down the block and see Britney Spears."

Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney's sister who has become a breakout country singer, has no statement about the dig, but we know she heard it since she was sitting in the audience at the award show last night.

Britney Spears wasn't the only one celebrity that they poked fun at during their opening monologue, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus got honorable or not so honorable mentions as well. Shelton and Bryan commented that when Merle Haggard sings about being drunk, out of work, and in jail it "sounds like he is singing it about Justin Bieber." They went on to say that Jake Owens, who had lost a finger this past year, found it on Miley Cyrus's tour bus, "taking a selfie and smoking a doobie."

Big winners last night include three time winners Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban and entertainer of the year winner George Strait.
