Over the weekend, a simple Twitter message sent to Pharrell Williams from One Direction's Liam Payne might have revealed a huge musical collaboration. We know that Payne and Williams have hung out in the studio before, but now it looks like they're planning on doing it again! Is Pharrell going to help out with the new One Direction record?

Liam reached out to his buddy Pharrell on his birthday, saying: "Happy birthday @Pharrell hope you have a great day look forward to getting back in the studio with you next time I'm in Cali."

The hitmaker didn't take long to respond and confirm the studio plans: "For sure! And thank you @Real_Liam_Payne."

This is clearly exciting news. Ever since Liam and Pharrell were photographed in the studio earlier this year, rumors of some sort of collaboration have been mounting. Will the former Neptunes producer have some input on the Midnight Memories followup album?

What's interesting is that it's not just the fans that want Pharrell on board, Niall Horan even said he's hoping for the producer for new music!

"Hopefully we can get Pharrell, if Liam is willing," Horan said about a month ago. "And I will do that trip with you, to go to America to meet Mr. Pharrell Williams, we'll go and write a tune."

So maybe Liam will bring Niall and the rest of his One Direction bandmates with him when he visits Pharrell in California. What do you think of this upcoming studio time with Liam and Pharrell?
