XBOX Entertainment Studios have teamed up with UK's Channel 4 to bring audiences their first original series. Get ready for the sci-fi series, Humans, to get under your skin and ask you what it really means to be human.

According to XBOX Wire, British writing team, Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks), will deliver an hour-long drama that will thrill audiences and ask questions about humanity's current state with technology. Based on the Swedish series, Real Humans, the sci-fi drama will receive an initial eight episode order. Retitled as Humans, the remake will start production in 2015. Henrik Widman and Lars Lundström, the executive producers of the original series, are onboard to adapt their premise to American audiences.

Xbox Entertainment Studios President Nancy Tellem explains her interest on the original series, "Humans not only questions personal relationships. We loved how this sci-fi show toys with reality and our connection to technology. This deal with Channel 4 and Kudos underscores Xbox Entertainment Studios' commitment to programming premium TV series with global partners and creating engaging interactive experiences."

Plot Synopsis:

Set in a parallel present, the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a "Synth." The term refers to a highly developed robotic servant. The Synth is eerily similar to its live counterpart. To change the way they live, a dysfunctional suburban family orders one of these Snyths. They discover that sharing their lives with the machine comes with far-reaching and chilling consequences.
