The April 11, 2014 edition of WWE's Friday Night Smackdown emanates live from Lafayette, Louisiana and begins with John Cena, who says that we are in a new era after WrestleMania 30. He talks about Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and The Shield winning their matches at the Showcase of the Immortals.

He calls himself the "measuring stick" and "standard bearer" and says again that anyone who wants to make a name for himself in the WWE must go through him. The Wyatt Family cuts a promo backstage and Bray Wyatt says he must go to "new extremes" to bring the monster out of John Cena.

Cesaro (w/Paul Heyman) defeats Big Show via disqualification. He works as a heel throughout the match. The match ends with Jack Swagger attacking Cesaro and putting him the Patriot Lock. Cesaro hits Big Show with the Neutralizer. Before the match, Heyman cuts a promo about Cesaro and Brock Lesnar.

Ryback and Curtis Axel defeat Los Matadores.

Rob Van Dam defeats Damien Sandow.

Hulk Hogan comes down to the ring and talks about hosting WrestleMania 30. He brings out Daniel Bryan, who comes out and says he idolized Hogan as a child. Bryan insists they play Hogan's music and the two lead a Yes! chant together.

Bad News Barrett defeats Kofi Kingston.

Fandango (w/Layla) defeats Santino (w/Emma). Fandango had "broken up" with Summer Rae on Twitter earlier this week.

The Usos and Daniel Bryan fight Kane, Batista and Randy Orton to a double count-out. The heels beat up one of the Usos for most of the match, which ends with all the babyfaces diving to the outside and everyone getting counted out.

Orton and Batista then beat down the Usos and Kane prepares to attack Bryan, but The Shield emerges to make the save. Bryan hits Kane with the running knee and the faces celebrate to end the show.
