The Transcendence star will certainly be experiencing something beyond normal... he will be a witness in a murder trial involving a reportedly insane limousine driver.

Johnny Depp was served papers at the premiere of Transcendence in Los Angeles on Thursday, according to Contact Music.  Depp is being requested to testify in a case involving Nancy Lekon who is being accused of hitting a female pedestrian, dragging the woman a mile, and then killing her in downtown LA in 2009.  Lekon had said when she was arrested that she was in a relationship with the actor and was on her way to see him when the accident occur ed, according to TMZ.

Lekon's lawyer requests Depp to confirm that he does not know Lekon which would solidify Lekon's insanity defense.  There has been no confirmation that Depp will appear in court for the murder trial.

Depp, 50, was in a relationship with actress Vanessa Paradis, 41, at the time.  The two actors have two children together: Lily-Rose, 15, and Jack, 12.  The couple, who were together for 14 years, split in 2012.  Depp has recently become engaged to actress Amber Heard, 27.

Depp was seen wearing Heard's engagement ring, reportedly because it was too big for the actress so he started wearing it.

Do you think Depp will make a court appearance to prove Lekon's insanity?  It is an odd request...  Let us know your opinion in the comments below!
