Kesha could be leaving the US for the UK.

Reports are claiming that the "Die Young" singer is set to join Simon Cowell as a judge on the upcoming season of the X-factor UK.

If Kesha accepts Cowell's offer to be a judge on the new season of the show, she would be starring alongside Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh, and Cowell himself. Cowell left the show in 2010 to launch an unsuccessful US version, which has been cancelled. The cancellation promoted Simon's return to the UK show he helped to create.

"Simon has held numerous conversations and is keen on Kesha. He thinks she's edgy and would appeal to a different audience than the other three. The source goes on to say that Cowell, "is keen to get an American in, just for a bit of variety. Nothing is signed but she's the frontrunner."

Kesha would follow in the footsteps of fellow American judges Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland who have previously starred on the British TV series.

Other musicians who have also been in talks to join the upcoming season of the X-Factor are Olly Murs and former Spice Girl's singer Mel B. The source goes on to say that Cowell doesn't think Murs is "sparky enough" to bring ratings to the show.  Mel B however, is someone that Cowell is "extremely fond of." The singer was in the running in 2011 to take over Rowland's space when she left the show, which eventually went to Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger.

Other names that have been thrown into the running but have recently been dismissed by Cowell are Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, and Fergie.

The news that Kesha could be joining the show comes shortly after the singer completed a six week rehab treament program to addressing issues of anorexic and bulimia.
