It may have been America's birthday, but Matthew McConaughey decided to steal some of our nation's attention on the Fourth of July. He announced via Twitter that he and his new wife, Brazilian model Camila Alves, are expected their third child together.

The "Magic Mike" star tweeted, "happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin."

Alves tweeted the happy news first: "Happy birthday America, more good news, Matthew and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin."

How cute: They planned their baby announcement to Twitter together.

Good thing they added the "just keep livin" part. We may have become too infatuated with their announcements and missed Fourth of July fireworks. Just kidding, McConaugheys.

The Hollywood couple started dating about six years ago in 2006 after they met in a Los Angeles bar, MTV stated. They have a 2-year-old daughter, Vida, and son Levi, who will turn four this week.

The stars didn't rush into marriage, saying they wanted to find "peace" within their relationship and family before walking down the aisle.

Camila has been quoted as saying, "Matthew and I are very simple people. Everyone just has to find common ground and make that work for them, and that's what we do. I respect marriage and I think it's beautiful that people do it. But for me, more important than anything is having a peaceful life and a peaceful home. I can only hope it gets better."

The actor and Brazilian-born model got engaged on Christmas Day in 2011 and married six months later on June 10. Typical of the couple's lackadaisical, laid-back style, the wedding took place at their ranch in Texas and was "glamping" themed. Their guests included celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Woody Harrelson, Us Weekly reported.

"There were about 100 of his close friends and family there," a wedding guest said.

The couple also got their children involved in the wedding, giving them important roles during the ceremony. "Levi brought the rings on a necklace. Vida was the flower girl," McConaughey told NBC's the "Today" show. "I don't think she dropped one petal."
