The trailer for the bestselling novel Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn, is finally here and it is as creepy as fans of the novel would expect.

Directed by David Fincher, the mastermind behind blockbuster The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, he brings us what is sure to be the most disturbing psychological thriller of the fall. The movie will be released in theaters on October 3.

Ben Affleck stars in the film as Nick Dunne, who goes on a search for his missing wife, Amy played by Rosamund Pike, after she disappears on their fifth wedding anniversary. The media soon begins looking at Nick as the prime suspect for what appears to be Amy's murder.

The trailer is set to Richard Butlers cover of "She" a Charles Aznavour song and it works perfect for this dark unsettling clip.

Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle, and Tyler Perry will star in the movie while Reese Witherspoon is set to produce.

Fans of the book should be wary though, Fincher has said that the big screen adaptation wouldn't be sticking that closely to source material. But don't worry because the screenplay for the movie was written by Gillian Flynn so we know she will deliver something that won't alienate fans of her novel.

Flynn told EW that "There was something thrilling about taking this piece of work that I'd spent about two years painstakingly putting together with all its eight million LEGO pieces and take a hammer to it and bash it apart and reassemble it into a movie."
