According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ricky Gervais has hinted at a possible spinoff series of his United Kingdom series The Office headed to Netflix. Nothing is in stone, but even this tease is enough to get us excited!

"It could happen," Gervais told the Radio Times while sitting down with the magazine this week. "It would be amazing for Ricky Gervais, but I don't know if I can justify it. He can't play venues outside the story."

Ricky explained that his beloved/loathed character, David Brent, has been seeping into his brain recently. He is definitely interested in revisiting the character!

"I love David Brent, but I can't just do it as a vanity project, because the BBC and Netflix are up for it," he revealed. "I don't know whether to do an on-the-road special or make that the whole series."

Gervais resurrected the Brent about ten years after the original program went off the air for Britain's Comic Relief charity show in 2013, which also coincided with the launch of his own YouTube channel. The Office went off the air with two Christmas specials in 2003.

What kind of spinoff series would you like to see from Gervais? Fans really appreciated and enjoyed the way he brought an end to the popular series, allowing for the US version to take its own path as well, so would this spinoff ruin that in a way? So far it looks like Gervais is only talking about his own character, Brent, for this possible venture. Is that who you'd like to see more of? Let us know below!
