It has been ten years since the release of Mean Girls, and we can still quote every line in the movie.

Cosmopolitan.com sat down with star of the movie Damian, played by actor Daniel Franzese, to talk about keeping in touch with his co-stars, his time on the set, and the alternative ending that we are just dying to know about.

He gushes about fellow cast members saying "I hit it off with everyone," but that he and Lizzy Caplan, who played Janice Ian, were inseparable.

"Lizzy and I really stuck together on that shoot, we were a clique- there's no question about that. We were always laughing, always in each other's trailers, always in each other's hotel rooms. It was Lizzy and I rolling solo."

Of the other cliques on set he says that "Amanda Seyfriend and Lacey Chabert hung out a lot, but Lindsay did her own thing. She had a guardian and two young friends with her and they all hung out a lot.

Franzese says that Rachel McAdams is nothing like Regina George and that she was just a "very humble" and chill person. "When we would all go out, Rachel would just stay home. Her agents would come to set and she wouldn't go to dinner with them, she was just like 'I'm going to chill.'"

The actor, who was 26 when he got the part, had to play a 16 year old high school student. Cosmopolitan.com asks if it was hard for him to portray someone so young.

"Some people thought I was too old for the role, so I did everything I could to look as young as possible. There was this trick a friend taught me to get a really close shave, so I did that, and just got really animated and excited- higher energy than I normally have as a person."

As for the alternative ending Franzese tells Cosmo:

"The original ending shows what happened to Damian after [junior year], and he was going to audition for American Idol. Simon Cowell was going to call him chubby and then he was going to run up on the stage and punch him."

As for how the ending would have went for some of the other characters:

"In the original script I read, Kevin G. gets busted by Miss Norbury for selling ecstacy, so when [Lindsay] calls her a drug pusher she actually has drugs in her desk. Janice and Damian convince Kevin to go to the school board when they discuss [Miss Norbury's] punishment to confess that it was him, but Kevin never shows up, so Damian gets on the podium and says it was him to try to protect Miss Norbury."

He tells Cosmo that some of the other changes in the script included Janice doing slam poetry at the talent show, and a scene he was so sad to see go.

"I was smoking a cigarette when we were walking across the field to go sit on the grass. Cady says to Damian 'You know, you really shouldn't smoke' and Damian goes, 'But it keeps me thin.'" He says that the reason for cutting the scene was that "Mark Waters (the director) doesn't like his actors smoking in movies, which is admirable."

Franzese sparked rumors of a possible reunion, when he was spotted earlier this year hanging out with Lohan. He says that he and Lohan "began a texting relationship earlier this year and that it has led them to hanging out again and being friends."

He also tries to keep in touch with as many of the other members of the Mean Girls family as possible.

"I do talk to Lizzy and I talk to Lacey pretty often. I talk to Lindsay; every time I see Amanda, it's great. Amy Poehler as well, because I'm really good friends with Aubrey Plaza so I've visited the Parks and Rec set a bunch. We run into each other more than we make plans with each other.

Franzese has nothing but good things to say about Mean Girls.

"It's been such a wonderful experience; it's such a blessing, because when you work really hard at a career in this business and people feel like you've done something that entertained them, there's just no better reward."
