Aretha Franklin Sues Website for $10 Million over fake Patti LaBelle story

Remember that story that was supposed to be a joke and for entertainment about Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin having an all out diva brawl? Well looks like the jokes on the satire website Nerd News.

MStars has learned that "Respect" singer Aretha Franklin is suing the site for $10 million for defamation of character.

We previously reported that the satire site, said the two diva's LaBelle and Franklin were involved in an "fistfight" leaving Franklin suffering "minor injuries."  The News Nerd wrote that LaBelle was LaBelle was arrested and "charge with assault and battery."

They added that the singer was "released on a $10,000 bail" and was set to "appear in court on April 16th."

Following the ridiculous story, Franklin made a statement, which said, "I've never heard anything crazier - regarding myself and Patti allegedly fighting on March 20, in Atlanta." she says.

"On March 20, I was in New York City readying for my birthday patty (Sorry. LOL. Laughing at my typo error). I meant PARTY, which we all had one fabulous time."

The fabulous 72-year-old, also said "Patti and I are cool and we always have been. I enjoyed her at the White House. Classic Patti."

Ouch! Franklin sure did show them what  "Respect" means.
