As a television series and comic book, The Walking Dead finds ways of making things interesting. A fan-favorite character, who appeared in the pilot and in the first issue, is making a return to the upcoming fifth season.
In an interview with Larry King, showrunner Scott Gimple had a list of Twitter questions to answer. One of those questions came from @FilmDudeTV, who asked, "Will we ever see Morgan again?"
Gimple responded, "I am so determined to make that happen by nook and crook. I can definitely say yes."
In the comics and the TV Show, Morgan introduces Rick to the zombie apocalypse. Rick had just woken up from his coma and doesn't know what happened to his family.
When we last saw Morgan (Lennie James), he was in pretty bad shape after having lost his son and wife. In the third season episode, "Clear," which was also written by Gimple, Morgan has become nihilistic and lost his mind, almost shooting Rick's head off. Rick sees himself in Morgan as he could also possibly lose Carl one day in the zombie apocalypse.
What could Morgan's role possibly be in the upcoming fifth season? When we lost saw Rick and the others, they were trapped in an abandoned train car by their formidable adversaries in the safe haven, Terminus. Either Morgan could help them escape or he could be working for Terminus' leader, Gareth.

When the fifth season of The Walking Dead premieres, will showrunner Scott Gimple keep his word and bring back Morgan? And if he does, will Morgan be a friend or enemy to Rick?
