The Walking Dead left fans with a cliffhanger as it heads into Season 5. The fourth season finale ended with Rick and his old and new friends trapped together in a train car as the resident of Terminus, presumably cannibals, surround them.

Fans are already eagerly anticipating the next season premiere and will be listening intently for any spoilers or clues about the Season 5 plot. Showrunner Scott Gimple recently sat down with Larry King and discussed a variety of Walking Dead topics, one of which was the return of Morgan (Lennie James) to the series.

"I am so determined to make that happen by hook and by crook that I can say definitively 'yes,'" Gimple said. "But there's time and tide that can get in the way."

Fans will remember that Morgan last appeared toward the end of Season 3 when Rick, Carl and Michonne found him alone in a small town with booby traps set up everywhere. His son, Duane, had also died.

Gimple answers numerous questions in this video such as the lifespan of The Walking Dead (hint: the video is entitled "It Could Last for Ten Years). Check it out below:

In other news, the "Spoiler Chat" column at E! Online reports the following about a new character for next season:

"Connor: I'm still in shock over that Walking Dead finale! I can't believe we have to wait 'til October to find out what's next. Got anything to hold me over?
Our gang may have been in a tight-spot when we last left them, but Rick and Co. are going to be recruiting as many people as possible in order to get revenge on those man-eating freaks who run Terminus. One of the allies we're most excited to meet is 17-year-old Burton. He may be young, but he's already suffered great tragedy when lost his leg. Luckily Burton does not let his disability keep him down, and his positivity is infectious to everyone else around him."

How and when do you think Morgan would return? Let us know in the comments below.
