The Voice Adds Possible New Coach Gwen Stefani to Season 7

It looks like The Voice is about to add another new face to the lineup when it returns this fall for its seventh season.

Singer, Gwen Stefani, is in talks to join the cast of the popular reality show as a judge, according to The Wrap. The show most recently announced that Pharrell Wiliams would be taking over Cee Lo Greens swivel chair on the upcoming seventh season.

Stefani and Williams were recently seen together at Coachella where the "Happy" singer brought Stefani on stage for a surprise performance of her hit song "Hollaback Girl." Could Pharrell have talked her into doing the show after this performance?

Most likely staying on as judges for the seventh season, are Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who have been with the show since it started and haven't missed out on a season yet.

The 'No Doubt' singer will take over the vacant chair left by Christina Aguilera, who is taking time off from the show to focus on her music as well as her pregnancy. TMZ has learned that Stefani has only signed a one-year contract with the show giving us hope that Christina will indeed be back for the eight season this spring.

Aguilera posted tweeted this morning:

"So blissful in taking this time for creating all things blossoming new on the horizon... album, baby & beautiful music to come."

No news yet on whether Shakira or Usher will also be returning for season eight this spring, but it is rumored that Shakira will be embarking on a concert tour around the same time.

The seventh season of The Voice will begin filming in June and will air this fall on NBC.
