Time To Root For The Bad Guys! It’s Batman Vs. Suicide Squad In ‘Batman: Assault On Arkham!’ WATCH VIDEO

Task Force X has made the leap from comics to the television screen. After showing up on the CW smash hit, Arrow, the Suicide Squad will star in their first animated feature, Batman: Assault on Arkham.

In the DC Universe, Suicide Squad, also known as Task Force X, is a supervillain team hired by the government to take on highly classified black-ops missions. Led by Dr. Amanda Waller, when the Suicide Squad returns from their deadly mission alive, their prison sentence gets reduced. Think of the Lee Marvin movie, The Dirty Dozen, and you'll understand where the concept came from.

In Batman: Assault on Arkham, Suicide Squad has assembled Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Frost, Black Spider, King Shark and Captain Boomerang for their latest mission. Joker, the clown prince of crime, has stolen a bomb and hidden the time-ticking device somewhere in Gotham. Not only will Suicide Squad face off against Joker, they will also cross paths with the masked vigilante, Batman.

Though there is no official date announced, Batman: Assault on Arkham is expected to be released sometime in 2014. Let's root for the bad guys this time to save the day.
