Happy Birthday to the late Luther Vandross!! Singer would have been 63 today

It has been almost a decade since one of the greatest singers alive passed away. The legendary Luther Vandross was one of a kind; the late singer would have been 63-years-old today.

MStars would like to take the time out to wish Mr. Vandross a Happy Birthday, as we remember the life and legacy of a great and talented man. Vandross, passed away July 1, 2005, after suffering from an apparent heart attack.

Vandross had a history of diabetes, and hypertension and suffered many illnesses throughout the end of his career.

Vandross who died at the age of 54, started his career as a background vocalist for a lot of singers, including Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Donna Summer and more. The "Here and Now" singer would be known as one of the greatest when he became a solo artist in 1981.

His greatest hits include, Power of Love, Never Too Much, Any love, The Closer I Get to You, Endless Love, and many more. The 8-time Grammy Award winning artist music lives on, and will continue to be played in weddings, father/ daughter dances, and other events.
