The Premier League is coming close to its climax and a few teams are hoping to seal their place in next years division, whilst prospects littered across other divisions are working hard in the hope they will one day play their too. Peterborough United's young Britt Assombalonga led his team to a 4-1 victory over Carlisle, meaning his team still have a chance of getting promoted to the division below the Premier League, but will they be able to keep their star striker?

The former Watford striker scored two goals from the penalty spot, meaning he has now scored 32 goals this season, which has evidently put Premier League clubs on high alert. The young striker is fast, strong and a proven goalscorer, and recently Hull City and Newcastle United were linked with Britt, but it's believed it would take a fee of at least $8 million dollars to tempt Peterborough in to selling their prized asset.

Peterborough United's other striker Conor Washington also scored and he has created an impressive partnership alongside Britt, but would Posh be happy to let Britt go, leaving Conor with former Manchester United prospect Nicky Ajose? Peterborough sold Dwight Gayle to Premier League club Crystal Palace last season, so perhaps there will be yet another striking replacement for Darren Ferguson's men.

With teams like Burnley getting promoted to the Premier League this weekend it looks likely they will he chasing after reinforcements to help them fight for their survival. Will they target the free-scoring striker?
