Earlier in the season the Portland Trail Blazers were untouchable, but many said they would fade, and rightfully so, they did, however, where people went wrong, was in predicting them to be a playoff failure. For a long time people suggested they'd struggle, but they've not shown any signs of that so far. The Houston Rockets were supposed to be a tough test, but the Trail Blazers eased passed them, with a 112-105 victory, meaning they now have a 2-0 series lead and are in complete control of what happens next.

There was a lot of talk before this game about who would do what, but LaMarcus Aldridge saved his talking and let his in-game-shooting do the talking. The superstar scored 43 points and was unstoppable as he led his team to the much coveted victory.

Although Houston are not down and out, they are now travelling to Portland with a huge deficit, meaning it looks unlikely that they will last much longer. This struggle will be disappointing for Dwight Howard and James Harden who both joined the Rockets for playoff success. Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard suggested it was Aldridge who should receive all the plaudits, and not himself nor their rival superstars, as he explained "What can they do to stop him? He was great once again, just like Game 1," He continued "When a lot of guys couldn't get going and couldn't hit shots, he just carried us. He played like an MVP again."

It seems like Portland have something good going on, and the Houston Rockets can't stop them. Can the Trail Blazers go deep in to the playoffs, or will this series be their only (likely) victorious one?
