The revolving door of coaches on NBC's hit singing competition The Voice continues as No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani has officially joined the roster for Season 7 in the fall.

Executive producer Mark Brunett simply tweeted, "@gwenstefani Welcome to #theVoice family!!!!" on Tuesday, and Stefani posted an Instagram photo of her hand making The Voice symbol with two fingers and a microphone. Christina Aguilera also tweeted her excitement for Stefani to join the show.

Stefani joins fellow newcomer Pharrell Williams for Season 7 alongside the returning Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. NBC also confirmed that Aguilera would return for Season 8 next spring.

This sort of coach shakeup is not new for The Voice. Shelton and Levine have remained constants, but the other two coaches have rotated, which has actually helped keep the show from turning stale. Cee Lo Green and Aguilera disappeared in favor of Usher and Shakira a few seasons ago, but then returned. Cee Lo is now gone permanently, but the coaches continue to swap in and out for alternating seasons, and the additions of Stefani and Pharrell are no different.

The Voice is currently in the midst of Season 6, as the show airs its odd-numbered seasons in the fall and its even-numbered seasons in the spring, which keeps it at the front and center of fans' minds.
