Wait - is undefeated boxing champ Floyd Mayweather interested in buying the LA Clippers?

According to several gossip outlets, there's a huge possibility that Mayweather's "Money Team" could soon infiltrate the NBA!

MediaTakeOut.com reports:

"We just got word from our homies on the MONEY TEAM... that Floyd Mayweather and his business adviser AL HAYMON are entering discussions to purchase the Los Angeles Clippers from Donald Sterling... Floyd and Al have made their INTEREST in the team known to the NBA, but are holding off on OFFICAL negotiations until AFTER Money Mayweather's fight THIS WEEKEND. This is NOT rumor y'all, it's FACTS!!!"

Mayweather and his reps have yet to confirm such rumors.

The Clippers' current owner Donald Sterling was recently banned from the NBA for making a slew of racist comments towards rumored girlfriend, V. Stiviano.

Mayweather (a huge Clippers fan) recently talked to USA Today's Bob Velin at the MGM Grand, about potentially buying the team.

"I can't come in here talking about Mayweather only going to get 3% or 4%. I got to get a solid percentage... But do we want to buy the Clippers? Yes we do. We're very, very interested in buying the Clippers."

But would he move the team to Las Vegas?

"No, we'll leave the Clippers right where they're at. Actually when I'm not boxing, I'm at the games all the time anyway, because I can walk to the games (from his Los Angeles home)... Me and my team want to buy the Clippers. And we can afford the Clippers."

As for his thoughts on Sterling:

"I don't have nothing negative to say about the guy. He's always treated me with the utmost respect, he has always invited me to games, always. And he always says, 'Floyd, I want you to sit right next to me and my wife.'"

Mayweather's ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson is also stirring-up some buzz within the NBA, after she was spotted at a Miami Heat vs. Charlotte Bobcats game with rumored new boyfriend, rapper Nelly. Check it out here.

Do Mstars fans think Mayweather would make a good NBA owner?
