The CW's Arrow is headed toward its Season 2 finale as Oliver and Slade battle for Starling City. The war has dragged old players back onto the board, including one of Oliver's former love interests.

The following comes from the "Ask Ausiello" column at TVLine:

"Huge Arrow fan over here (I mean, who isn't?) and it keeps getting better and better! What can you tell us about Sara aka Canary? - Cararina

Rest assured that, despite the way she high-tailed it out of town after breaking up with Oliver,  she will be back in time for the May 14 finale - and she won't come back alone. 'It's good - really good,' Caity Lotz told us of the season ender. 'It was a lot of fun to shoot, so I think it will be a lot of fun to watch.'"

Another returning player is Katrina Law as Nyssa Al Ghul, who shows up in the final episode as part of the ongoing battle between Oliver and Slade.

"[Sara] went to go get help, because when you're fighting an army, you need an army," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Green Arrow TV. "She goes and gets Nyssa, and she comes back with the League. It's the Arrow, Canary, Roy and the League of Assassins vs. Slade and his Mirakuru army for the city."

That sounds like a pretty epic way to cap off the show's sophomore season. In related news, here is the official description for the finale:

"OLIVER MUST DECIDE ONCE AND FOR ALL IF HE'S A KILLER OR A HERO - Slade (Manu Bennett) moves forward with his plan to kill one more person in Oliver's (Stephen Amell) life. While Oliver has fought all year to be more than the killer he once was, when Slade kidnaps someone close to Oliver's heart, Oliver is pushed to the edge and realizes sometimes it takes doing the unthinkable to stop the monster. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) takes on Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) with a little help from some friends, and Thea (Willa Holland) turns to Roy (Colton Haynes) in her time of need."
