This May 4^th, Star Wars Day is the rebel holiday that celebrates the sci-fi franchise created by the one and only George Lucas. In honor of that celebration, we take a look at the best Star Wars comics from Dark Horse Comics.

4) The Star Wars

This isn't the epic space opera you know and love by heart. This is the official adaptation of creator George Lucas' first rough draft screenplay. Writer Jonathan Rinzler and artist Mike Mayhew deliver an experimental take on familiar characters in an original setting.

The ongoing series, currently on issue 16, follows the events after the destruction of the original Death Star.
