The US military men stationed at RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath spent Saturday May 3rd fighting for fun, rather than for their jobs. The brave soldiers are often facing the everyday pressure of taking on the huge task of being in the Air Force, but tonight was all about their bouts in the ring against boxers from Cambridgeshire. The American airmen truly impressed, showing they were able to perform at an elite level, as well as protecting their country, too, but one man, going by the name of Beck stole the show in a way nobody expected.

The main event seen British boxer Feoria take on US military man Beck. Beck walked to the ring in a very confident manner with James Brown's 'Living in America' blasting across the arena, and one thing grabbed the eyes of everyone in attendance. He wore a yellow Air Force hoodie, showing his evident pride of serving for his country, but on the front were the big, bold words 'Mommy'. A nice touch it would seem, but it was bigger than we realized.

After an action-packed 4-hour event, many were expecting a tough fight between Feoria and Beck, but Beck seemed off the pace throughout, with Feoria the clear winner, taking the title belt, but it was Beck who walked away the true hero. His promoter grabbed the microphone as the audience left and informed them that this brave soldier wanted nobody to know, but he had lost both his mother and grandmother within the space of three weeks. The US solider had been back and forth between the US and UK, and insisted he still wanted to fight, showing just how brave soldiers are.

The event, titled UK v US For All the Glory II was a huge hit, with the American military enjoying every bit of the action. Elsewhere, American military boxer Oscar Campos-Ortiz was hugely impressive, and stole the show with a dominant showing, but the real hero was Beck, who proved that being a fighter runs through his blood, as shown through his military service, his handling of his grief and his ability to fight in the ring.
