Star Wars Day! May The 4th Be With You! J.J. Abrams & Lawrence Kasdan Post ‘Video Selfie’ Wishing Everyone A Happy Star Wars Day!

No Star Wars Day would be complete without hearing an update about the latest sequel to the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars fans have a special video greeting from the director and screenwriter of the highly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII movie.

Star Wars Episode VII director J.J. Abrams and Star Wars Episode IV: Empire Strikes Back screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan took time off from their very busy schedule to put together a quick video. And when I say busy, I mean hectic, because everyone is still talking about the recent casting announcements, as reported here. In this "video selfie," Abrams and Kasden have a special message for all the Star Wars fans out there.

Abrams mentions shooting over in London as he states, "We are desperately missing our families back in California..."

Kasdan continues, "But we feel very fortunate to be here in London and working on the next Stars Wars script."

Abrams also teases that casting announcements will continue and how production is almost wrapped up. I am definitely excited to see what Attack the Block's John Boyega will bring to new Star Wars movie. Who else is joining Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and the returning original cast of Star Wars, including Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford?
