The Walking Dead is about to become even more wired.

Seth Gilliam joins the AMC hit series as the third alum of TV show, The Wire, which he was a part of for all five seasons. The Hollywood Reporter learned that Gilliam will be joining the cast as a series regular for season five which will begin this fall.

He joins the cast as Michael Todd, a dummy name included on the casting breakdown as to not give away too many details on the upcoming season. Todd is described as a friendly guy with a mischievous side, who has some dark secrets from his past that are haunting him. Fans of the comic are probably hard at work trying to figure out which character could fit this description; however these details could also be inaccurate as a way for creators to throw fans off their trail.

Gilliam joins cast members Andrew J. West (Gareth), Alanna Masterson (Tara) and Christian Serratos (Rosita) who have all been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming season.

Gilliam's most recently actor role has been as a recurring cast member on MTV's hit werewolf series Teen Wolf, which he will be continuing to film while starring on The Walking Dead.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the show's executive producer, Scott M. Gimple said that season five would focus a lot on the ethics and humanity of who these characters are.

"Rick said, and before that Robert said it in the comic: Are we too far gone to be people anymore, to actually be human beings, to be able to relate to one another on an emotional level, to be able to live a real humanistic and emotional life-are we too far gone?"

After the season four finale, Gimple teased that "Next season really is who do we become after that? Once that question is answered for ourselves, who are these people? That idea will be explored in a few different ways."

Tune into The Walking Dead when it premieres this October on AMC.
