The Vampire Diaries feels the wrath of ex-girlfriends everywhere this week.

In a clip that was just released for the upcoming episode, Caroline lets Bonnie know that she wants to kill her ex-boyfriend Tyler. While she has a valid reason to kill him, we can't help but think she might take a little pleasure in doing so. Tyler has been possessed by a traveler named Julian, and Caroline thinks that killing Tyler will be the only way to free him from Julian's control.

Caroline thinks that once Tyler is dead that Bonnie will be able to bring him back from the other side. However, what she doesn't know, is that Bonnie lied to her about there being a spell to bring people back from purgatory. When Caroline pushes the issue Bonnie has no choice but to come clean and tell her that if she killed Tyler there will be no way to bring him back.

The episode title "Promised land," will follow all of our favorite vampires in search of a way to stop Markos. The episode will also see Bonnie finally owning up to the fact that she lied about a spell to stop the other side from collapsing. Also, Damon, Matt and Jeremy team up to set a trap for Markos, while Stefan and Elena are forced to take refuge in a remote location to protect themselves from him.

Julie Plec talked to E! News recently and teased that the final episodes of the season are going to be insane. "There's quite a lot of suffering and celebration in the last two episodes, because of Markos's efforts to make the town of Mystic Falls a magic-free zone and the imminent destruction of the Other Side, lots of lives are in jeopardy and Damon has to, as he says, 'strap on his hero hair.'"

Catch and all-new episode of The Vampire Diaries on the CW this Thursday at 8 p.m.
