The 2014 NFL Draft is finally here, this Thursday all football fans will finally have their questions answered. For months they've heard their team will take this player, snub that player and so on, but finally the answers will all be revealed. The Cleveland Browns are a key team to watch, with several picks throughout, and most importantly two in the first round. It's clear they need, and will draft a quarterback, but nobody knows who. Reports this week suggested they couldn't ignore Johnny Manziel, and now reports suggest they'd happily do that, but here's why they simply cannot afford to miss out on the Texas A&M QB.

The college star undoubtedly has had a questionable past, but he has also delivered in style and become the talking point for fans across the country. Manziel insists his past issues are well and truly behind him, and that he's ready to be the face of a struggling franchise, like the Cleveland Browns, perhaps.

Can the Browns pass up this chance? Jay Glazer reported they could do just that on Fox Sports Radio Tuesday, saying "NFL Network came out and said 'well Jimmy Haslam has told everybody in the room that he wants it to happen.' That has not happened. In fact, it's the other way. Jimmy Haslam has walked into the Browns' draft room and said 'hey guys, this is not what I do for a living, it's what you do for a living. Whatever you do I trust.' There's not been some edict like that. I have no idea where that came from, but that's not happening.''

So it seems like Cleveland could pass up the chance to take Johnny 'Football', but the franchise may come to regret this. They're in need of a famous face to unite the fans, sell jerseys, fill the stadium and most importantly, win games. Johnny Manziel can do all of that, so Cleveland may regret letting him slip if they decide to do so.
