America is in for a big surprise for the next panel of judges said to be seated in "American Idol" Season 12. While "American Idol" judge, Jennifer Lopez, is definitely out for the next seasons show, a lot of big names in Hollywood are already up and running for the spot. So who is worthy to replace Jennifer Lopez as the next judge on America's highly-acclaimed talent search show?
It was only a few months ago when Jessica Sanchez lost the title as the next "American Idol" to Philip Phillips. Now, a whole new season is already in motion. According to E! Online, auditions for the shows' season 12 have already begun and "American Idol" is currently crashing Chicago.
While big dreamers are making their way to the auditions, producers of the show are busy scouring Hollywood for the next panel of judges.
"No one has signed any contracts yet and producers are currently putting out feelers and setting up meetings to see who they can get," says an insider to E! Online. "We won't know if Randy [Jackson] and Steven [Tyler] are returning until they see who else is on board," continued the insider.
So with all the glitzy and glamorous celebrities in Hollywood with the knack at performing, who is best seated beside Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler? A few big names are already in the running of which include runner-up of the show's 8th season, Adam Lambert. Joining Adam Lambert in the list of potential "Idol" judges are teen superstar, Miley Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas' Fergie and Will.I.Am, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry.
With fresh faces and not to mention young celebs on board, "American Idol" somewhat resembles Simon Cowell's own panel of judges for "X-Factor" USA. Simon recently recruited former Disney stars, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears as co-panel judges.
However, "X-Factor" and "American Idol" are entirely two different shows. All that matters now for "American Idol" is finding the perfect judge to replace Jennifer Lopez. Now, with these celebrities up on the list, who should make it to "American Idol" Season 12 and help America decide who their next "Idol" should be?
