Conspiracy theories surrounding rapper Tupac Shakur's tragic death in 1996 still run rampant online. That's why several fans were upset when aspiring emcee Wyclef Jean featured a photo of Tupac's lifeless corpse in his new music video for "April Showers."

But the disturbing death image isn't real.

A rather shocking snapshot from Tupac's autopsy was originally published in Cathy Scott's book, "The Killing of Tupac Shakur." The grisly image shows the East Coast rapper's body partically cut open. Fans can view the alleged NSFW picture here.

Rumors initially suggested that Jean used the controversial photo in a segment for his "April Showers" music video. But TMZ now reports that "it's just an impersonator with great makeup."

Scott is the one who complained to Youtube about the image, insisting that it's real and Jean used it without permission. But according to aspiring actor Richard Garcia, he's the "real" Tupac impersonator.

As TMZ reports:

"Garcia says he was hired to re-create the autopsy for the video's anti-gun violence theme... and it required 8 hours with makeup artist Autumn McHugh -- even though he only appears for a split second."

For now, the video is banned from Youtube. Scott still doesn't believe Garcia - the replica is just "too perfect."
