Have you been craving an American Horror Story fix ever since Coven ended? Well we've got you covered.

We have learned a few details about the new season that we are sure fans are dying to know.

The fourth season installment titled, Freak Show, will be set against the backdrop of a 1950's Floridian carnival, run by German ex-pat played by Jessica Lange. The carnival is on the verge of collapsing, and Lange enlists the help of her freak show trope complete with clowns, bearded ladies, and all other side show oddities, to do anything humanly possible in order to save their show.

Entertainment Weekly sat down with Murphy to get the inside scoop about the vibe of the new season and what fans can expect.

"It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on," says Murphy about the concept behind Freak Show. "It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I've had many different versions that I've run by her. I just love it. It feels really right. I thought it was going to be light but it's turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look - if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it's going to be dark."

Fans who though that the last installment Coven was too light and fluffy will be happy to hear the news that Freak Show will return to the dark roots of the series.

Details about the cast and characters have been sparse but when EW asked about the killer clown Murphy alludes to, he tells the entertainment site that it's "the most terrifying clown ever." They also asked if the infamous bearded lady would be making an appearance to which the creator said "Yes. Our version of it."

American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere this fall on FX.
