Last summer Peterborough sold Dwight Gayle to Premier League side Crystal Palace in a deal which is believed to be worth around $10 million dollars, and they moved quickly to replace him with hotshot striker, Britt Assombalonga, who cost them around $2.5 million dollars. Their young forward has been a revelation in front of goal, being tipped to follow former Posh star Dwight Gayle straight in to the Premier League, but just how good is he?

Britt led his team to the Johnstones Paint Trophy final at Wembley Stadium, which they won, and now they're in the playoffs with a chance of returning to Wembley, but this time it would be for the chance to get promoted to the tier of soccer below the Premier League, the Championship. Britt had scored 32 goals in all competitions and he was hoping to make a difference in today's playoff clash against Leyton Orient. He most certainly did.

The pair faced off today, and will meet in the return leg Tuesday, so both teams were hoping they could quickly grab the advantage. Peterborough United struck early with Britt scoring his 33rd goal of the season, however, Posh couldn't hold on and it finished 1-1. The pair will meet again on Tuesday, and Britt will be looking to add to his 33 goals and send his team to Wembley.

Just how good can Britt be? In popular British magazine 'FourFourTwo' he was selected as the 12th best player outside of the Premier League. So, it might be hard for Peterborough to keep hold of their goalscorer, Championship or no Championship.
