The two-hour season finale was filled with time traveling, family time, and heartbreak.

The episodes titled "Snow Drifts" and "No Place Like Home," mainly focused on Emma and Captain Hook being transported to the Enchanted Forest of the past, through Zelena's time portal. The portal brings the pair back in time, to right before Snow White and Prince Charming meet.

Emma somehow manages to screw everything up, making the meeting between Snow and Charming never happen. Her and Hook spend most of the two hours trying to tie up loose ends so they don't change the future. The episodes give diehard fans a reimaging of the first few episodes of season one, including the troll bridge scene, dark fairy magic, and the return of Kathryn, prince Midas's daughter.

While trying to get Snow White and Charming to meet at King Midas's Gala, Emma gets herself captured by the guards and thrown into the dungeons. It's here that she meets a fellow prisoner, who reveals that they will both be executed tomorrow. Emma, who has too big of a heart, decides to rescue the other prisoner and take her back to the future, not realizing that in doing so she'll change the present.

Hook and Emma enlist the help of Rumple to get them back to Storybrooke through a time portal which he reveals Emma has to open using her magic. They open the portal in Rumples treasury of dangerous magic items, not a very smart idea because unbeknownst to them they bring a magic urn housing a very dangerous person, along with them back to Storybrooke.

Once safe and sound in Storybrooke, Emma introduces the townspeople to her new mysterious friend, someone who could breakup Regina's happily ever after. Regina, who is finally happy for once in her life with new boyfriend Robin Hood, isn't thrilled to see meet the new woman, who appears to be Robin's long lost wife.

The last two minutes of the season finale live up to the creators promise, giving us the next season's villain and what land we will be headed to next.

A mysterious fluid begins to leak from the urn that was brought back through the portal, and begins to form into a person. As the shape comes to life we can vaguely make out the new character. Everything becomes clear when the woman dressed in a blue dress, shoots an icy blast from her hands and freezes the urn that housed her.

The episode ends, and we are left speechless.

If you haven't seen the episode yet and don't want to be spoiled close the page right now.

Season four will be taking us to the land of Arendelle and will give us a new villain in Queen Elsa from Frozen.
