Theories of what may have started the infamous Solange Knowles vs. Jay-Z fight has hit the net and some are speculating that a previous verbal altercation at the Met Gala between the "I decided" singer and designer Rachel Roy and other guests may have occurred that led to an elevator fight with her brother-in-law while her sister Beyonce watched.

According to Us Weekly, the "Sol-Angel" singer yelled at an entire group at the Boom Boom Room nightclub inside the Standard hotel where Beyoncé eventually "got in the middle of it" to settle the feud.

After the verbal spat, the "Drunk in Love" duo allegedly stood in the wrath of the starlet as Jay-Z dodged kicks and fists as Beyoncé stood by and watch her bodyguard detain her.

"Beyoncé tried to stay out of it. She does not approve of violence," a source told Us Weekly. "They are trying to put the situation past them now."

An extended version of the fight between rapper Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Solange has recently been released in an update by TMZ. The video shows Solange physically attacking her brother-in-law for over 3 minutes in a Standard Hotel elevator at the Met Gala last week.

In the video obtained by TMZ, Beyoncé appeared calm and alone in the video until her sister, Solange stepped in followed by Jay-Z. The younger sister of the "Diva" singer began screaming and attacking the rapper who attempted to push her off until security grabbed her as Beyoncé calmly watched the fight ensue.

After the fight the trio walked out of the hotel as security escorted Beyoncé and Solange into one vehicle as Jay-Z entered another.

Yikes!! What was that about?
