Drake refuels Jay-Z beef, Rihanna's boyfriend 'laughs a$$ off' at Solange Knowles elevator attack: did Beyonce's hubby incite fight with pompous attitude?

Jay-Z and Drake are heated rivals - both in-and-out of the hip-hop studio. And now, Drizzy apparently has an opinion on why Beyonce's younger sister Solange attacked the infamous rapper in a hotel elevator following NYC's Met Ball Gala earlier this month...

An alleged insider tells HollywoodLife.com, "He thinks that HOV probably said some f*cked up stuff to her, or tried to come off like he's the illest person who's ever walked the face of the earth, like he portrays in his music."

Way to provoke Jay once again! Hasn't Drizzy learned his lesson by now?

The Nothing Was the Same rapper supposedly thinks that Miss Knowles finally wanted to put her "pompous" brother-in-law back in his place:

"Solange probably got tired of Jay Z's hype and tried to bring him back to earth."

And Drizzy got a kick out of the epic showdown.

"D thought it was funny and watched it on repeat about ten times while laughing his ass off."

Ha.

Meanwhile, another source reveals that Solange actually "freaked out" because HOV is "too controlling" of Queen Bey.

"Solange doesn't like that Jay Z is so controlling. That's why Beyonce didn't do anything, because Solange was coming to HER defense. Solange and Beyonce are extremely tight and Solange has always been very protective of her. Obviously Solange couldn't take it anymore and flipped out."
