Rumors have been circulating that Aviva Drescher has been fired from the current season of The Real Housewives of New York.

After a drama filled first half of the sixth season, reports from TheHollywoodGossip.com are claiming that Drescher was reprimanded by producers for her behavior and asked to take a three week mandatory absences from the show.

Another story has been making its way around internet gossip sites claiming that the housewives absence is a ploy to try and increase the ratings for the struggling show.

During last week's episode, Bravo cut Aviva out of the opening credits, which left fans scratching their heads.

The star has spoken out to RadarOnline through friend Tom Murro who tells the site that Aviva said "I wasn't (disciplined)... back on in two weeks."

Reports are saying that Aviva didn't want to be included in the most recent episodes because the wives were taking a trip to the Berkshire. The reality star said that she was concerned about her health and opted out of the natural retreat. Aviva, who has a prosthetic leg and suffers from asthma, felt that she wouldn't do well on the trip.

So then why was she cut from the opening credits?

When Radar pushed the questions Drescher didn't have a reply, simply calling that "It's not newsworthy."

Fans will have to tune in tonight to The Real Housewives of New York to see if Aviva has made the cut back into the opening credits.
